Martin Sheen and Woody Harrelson to star in movie uncovering the truth about 9/11 ‘September Morn’
A new movie starring “West Wing” star Martin Sheenand “The Hunger Games” Woody Harrelson will question the investigation into the September 11 terrorist attacks.
“September Morn” will style itself on ‘Twelve Angry Men’ and may play on a conspiracy theory about the terrorist attacks.
"We the people demand that the government revisit and initiates a thorough and independent investigation to the tragic events of 9/11,” the films publicity notice reads on IMDB.
Directed by BJ Davis and written by Howard Cohen, more details on the feature length film are expected to be disclosed at an American Film Market conference in Los Angeles next week, Deadline.com reports.
Previously, Davis, an Arkansas born director, produced the controversial documentary "Top Priority: The Terror Within," which tells the story of Julia Davis, a national security whistleblower who was falsely declared a terrorist.
This will be the first time that a Hollywood production has questioned the role the Bush administration played in the attacks.
In the past, Martin Sheen has openly questioned whether Islamist hijackers single-handedly carried out the attacks in which 2,605 people perished.
“There have been so many revelations that now I have my doubts, and chief among them is Building 7 – how did they rig that building so that it came down on the evening of the day?" he told PrisonPlanet in 2007.
"How convenient," said Sheen, "When did they rig that building? That's the most interesting question and I have not received a satisfactory answer - nobody could give me an answer to how you rig the building - what a coincidence - two weeks prior and then bring it down on the day, that is the one thing that I have not got a sensible answer about from anyone," he concluded.
Another of the film’s stars, Emmy award winning Ed Asner, has also suggested a new investigation should take place.
In 2010, Asner told Medialite: "This country – which is the greatest, strongest country that ever existed in the world, in terms of power – supposedly had a defence that could not be penetrated all these years. But all of that was eradicated by 19 Saudi Arabians, supposedly. Some of whom didn't even know how to fly."
