He is innocent until a jury says otherwise. But... He is not making things easy for his lawyer. Besides his original errors of judgement, while in jail, he was recorded by the police talking to his wife about the account in question using dollars as a code to represent thousands of dollars. He also "forgot" to tell the judge that he had a second passport when the first one was revoked at the bail hearing. This same judge will listen to his story at a self defence law hearing and his reputation for truthfulness will be the only evidence he has for the veracity his explanation of the events. Gun owners are supposed to know not to shoot themselves in the foot but George Zimmerman will soon run out of toes at this rate.

after lying to the court about money and passports....he can't be TRUSTED to not take off....he wouldn't be IN jail, if he'd listened to the 9-11 dispatcher, and leave it to the POLICE to deal with martin....he made his bed, NOW he has to sleep in it.

A lot of comments by people with their own axes to grind [personal opinions] that don't really relate to the basic situation. As a "civilian" patrol you operate under the command of the police. Mr. Zimmerman was told to, "stay in you car." The uniformed police would handle the situation. Had he done as directed by the police dispatcher none of this would have happened. Also had he and his wife been truthful to the judge and posted their money from his defence fund he would now be enjoying freedom. To claim he was scared to tell the truth, or didn't know he was lying, ignorance of the law is no excuse. I'm sure his lawyer would have advised him that the lawyer would have a lein against the bond money in the lawyer's behalf. Ethnics aside, he disobeyed a police order, had he obeyed, he wouldn't be were he is.This isn't the wild west and he isn't "Dog, the Bounty Hunter, even he has legal rules to follow.

This is becoming a "show trial" in the better images of the Nazis and Soviets. There is just no way that Zimmerman is guilty of "premeditated" murder in the second degree. He must be found guilty or all 'ell will break out in the black community. Mansalughter would have been a wise and prudent charge. Pressure from the Justice Department and Eric Holder was overwhelming.
