Hang in there EamonnDublin. We all know how you feel. Just think we can hoist a pint of Guinness to celebrate when Zimmerman is found NOT GUILTY on all charges, knowing justice has been done!
I can't understand it; Me arse it is branded, with "Séamus The Leprachaun. Éamonn.
Ciara, Don't worry - I'm still HERE! Éamonn, (?), (?). (Now I'm all confused!)
"Bythebay" - OK, man, if it suits you - "I am American". I live, breathe, walk, talk, laugh, sing, dance, shimmy, rock, chill, run, row, smile, write and play the geetar like my old buddy Johnny Cash. I live in Portland, Oregon, where I was raised. I was sitting on the nearby Mount St. Helens when she blew in May, 1980. I was covered in ash, but Rudolph Reindeer - who is the lead rednose for my good friend Herr Claus - came trundling by on a practice lap of the world and swept me up to safety. Herr Claus knows my family well because he was in the Hitler youth as a six year old and he met my Dad, who was born in Munich and also served. That's how I got my jackboots that "Seanomelb" or yourself or some other pest goes on about. I love the old jackboots, the smell of the leather and the comfort of knowing that, even though I am American, I can still feel as if I am walking in der Fatherlandt. I pretend to myself I am Irish and live in Dublin because I passed through once, when I was seventeen, and there was a girl called "Ciara" who I liked a lot and I try to pretend we are together. Sometimes people realise that I am NOT Irish and this brings me back to reality. But hey - it's good to be American! Now, does that bring a glow to your bushy cheeks? You were right all the time! Thank you for bringing me back to reality. Satisfied now? Now you're suckin' diesel!! Éamonn, Portland Oregon.
EamonnDublin, several posters in Ireland have copped on and called you on it. You're American.
"Bythebay" - In answer to your post of May 13th at 11.55am, just exactly WHAT is your hangup about my living in Dublin, Ireland? I couldn't give a fiddler's curse whether you believe me or not - your presumptions are totally immaterial to me. Your comment that "Irish media is Europe based" raises serious questions about your IQ. Have you never of satellite TV? For your info, I have Sky satellite TV, including Fox News, CNN, CNBC, ESPN, Disney, Al Jazeera, etc., etc., etc., a few hundred channels in total. You have a buzzin' bee in your bonnet and I REALLY fail to understand why you would think that I PRETEND to live in Ireland. I love the United States, but I happen to live in my home town of Dublin, Ireland. Got it? Now buzz off, please! Éamonn, Dublin, Ireland. PS, If you could read PROPERLY, you would see that what you are saying I said about the racial violence in the USA is TOTALLY at variance with what I actually did say.
merefalow, how many robberies and break-ins did the gated community where Trayvon Martin was murdered suffer?
Eamonn"Dublin" curious you've found some unidentified Irish media covering unidentified young black boy killed in the US. Irish media is Europe based mate. You're most likely in Dublin, Ohio.
"McNamara31" - I'm glad you enjoy my posts, thank you! As for Fox, I watch it to get some balance to the other USA channels, most of which, as you will know, are medium to far left liberal. It's all very watchable and well presented - beats RTE any day! Best Wishes, Éamonn, Dublin, Ireland.
"EphraimKibbey" - Thank you for your kind advice. I have indeed contacted the media here and asked why they haven't covered it, but they still ignore it. The Irish media is almost 100% left wing liberal. It's full of the young black boy being killed, but it hardly even mentions, for instance, all the Christians being murdered by Islamists in Nigeria. But, as you advise, yes I do keep trying. Best Wishes, Éamonn, Dublin, Ireland.
"Bythebay" - I have Sky, it has Fox, CNN, CNBC, all the main Americans, we have Al Jazeera also, all Disney, etc., etc. Without counting I'm not sure of the total but I think it's around 500 channels. We've come on a bit in the last 10 years! By the way, are you REALLY interested, or is it that you still think that for some amazing reason I am trying to only PRETEND I live in Ireland. Éamonn, Dublin, Ireland.
hey there lynch mob, just suppose that george is innocent, and stop going on about a child killing as if this guy was some helpless pinochio type,he was in a gated community, any one who know usa that means its a gate guarded place where only people who live there or have business there go,its excluded to people who have no business there, its normally very exclusive and they live in gated communities because its supposed to be safer.this guy was 15 stone wearing a hood at night,in an AREA WHICH HAD RECENTLY suffered numerous robberys and break ins, people are sick to death of robbers and break ins,if someone breaks into your house(waste them before,as in many cases, they waste you and yours}good law),the first question to ask is,why was he in that area?secondly how did he react when challenged,i hate the way this case has been prejudged, liberal kangeroo court knee jerk reaction, suppose he turned on george and attacted him,is he still guilty then of defending himself against a 15 stone man,as for waiting for police to show up,he,d probably still be waiting.and just how innocent is this child?,any previous officer,if he just went up- and shot him, which i don't believe, then he is guilty, wait until the full story emerges before you leap to hang him, that's unless they convict him to prevent a racial back lash,i sincerely hope he gets a rational non hysterical fair trial.
PhlutiePlan, are you part of the defense or prosecution team? If not then you haven't seen their case against Zim who premediatedly chased an unarmed teenager without cause (other than he was black and Zim didn't think he belonged in that gated community) and shot him. Sounds like premediated murder with malace.
@PhlutiePhan - In Florida, the jury automatically also gets the choice of the lesser verdict of manslaughter. In some states he would either be found guilty or innocent of 2nd degree murder and that would be that but in Florida the jury has more options. The prosecution MAY have gone with 2nd degree so that manslaughter would look more reasonable to the jury. The "Wheel of Justice" is really wheels within wheels. The FACT that an innocent child is dead is a horrible reality but Zimmerman remains innocent until 12 of his peers say otherwise. Hopefully the law that allowed this event will also be on trial. While, as a gun owner, I defend the 2nd amendment, with every right goes the responsibility not to abuse it and take away someone else's rights. The constitution does not give anyone the right to play policeman or cowboy with a loaded gun. My right to own a gun does not give me the right to deny someone else the right to life.
This Is, a Global Controversy; Isn't It ?
