@Seanomelbourne - thing is, its still there (The "new" Old Bailey) bigger and better than before. And besides, you're being quite proscriptive in your election of a suitable bomb target. I can think of a whole lot more sites that would have had an even greater impact.

According to the June 2011 Human Rights group British Irish Riights Watch (BIRW) Marian Price/McGlinchy is being held in Maghaberry Prison...an all male prison...? Why aren't the Human Rights lawyers doing anything about this...? The same group have been petitioning the Justice Minister David ford since MARCH about Brendan Lillis..In a reply to a UK MP DATED 08.06.2011...the Life Sentences Unit states...The Minister of Justice (MoJ) has stated he does not consider 'exceptional circumstances exist that would justify release on compassionate grounds...That the matter had been referred to the Parole Commissioners and the MoJ would be guided by them on the continued need to remain in custody...the Department of Justice do not consider there to have been aby abuse of Human Rights under ECHR'...If this case does not meet the exceptional circumstances criteria WHAT does?

The 'Old Bailey' aka the Central Criminal Court...an amazing edifice with an awe inspiring history...I remember an Old Bailey hack recounting the day the place was...ahem...'remodelled' by the Price sisters...It's very much worth a visit for anyone interested in London landmarks and the Criminal underclass...The entrance to the underground cells the old entrance to Newgate prison 'Traitor's Gate'...the cells have black heavy doors with wicket gate grilles through which briefs take instructions from their clients...and to think how me poor mother tried to warn me about the perils of a life of crime...!
