Fianna Fail, the main Irish governing party, has fallen to record low levels in the latest opinion poll with only 18 percent support.

The poll, published in the Sunday Business Post, shows confidence in the government at an all time low after the publication of the expected final figures for the bank losses that the Irish taxpayer must make up.

That  figure is now expected to be $65 million. Savage budget cuts are expected in the next few months.

Fine Gael is  the party with the largest support at 32 percent, good news for leader Enda Kenny who has faced major leadership questions himself.

The Labor Party is at 27 percent  while the Greens, the smaller part in government is at four percent. SinnFeinis at nine percent with independents at ten percent.

The combined government support total is just 22 percent of the electorate, and  it appears they cannot stave of a general election much longer.

Not only is the Irish State totally and utterly bankrupt but now it has become obvious that the Government if possible is even more bankrupt and without clue nor care about how to proceed, But they still want to wear the sheriffs badge.
Time to dump this ugly pig led Government of crooks and incompetent swine. Who have disgraced and destroyed our Nation. Go pig Brian ...NOW
Why is this fat chap in Gov feeding at the trough.
During the heady times of the CT when they should have put money into savings for when the bubble would burst all that could be thought of was to spend, spend and spend. Where did all the money go? Didn't they think that if one multi-national job went that indigenous service jobs would fall as well? Part of Ireland's problem is that the unions are too powerful (and too many) and it will be increasingly difficult to compete with the likes of Poland and Hungary after all Ireland has a reputation of being one of the most expensive countries in Europe. I asked a question once of some friends of mine in the west of Ireland as to why multiple generations continue to vote the same party as their grandparents and no one could answer it. In my family, using an American analogy, my grandparents stood with the democrats (and I have papers to show money my grandad sent for Al Smith's campaign, yes, that far back)and then their chidren went republican. I guess what I am trying to say is that at some point the original reason for voting for a specific party ceases to exist as that party's original reason for being has died out. From my observation Fianna Fail of 2010 is not Fianna Fail of the early years of the modern Irish state. If I were an Irish voter I would look first at Fine Gael and then Labor.
Oh dear God,,if Enda(the actor from Glenroe)Kenny is going to end up running this country,,then I'm moving in with the mother,.at least I'll have clean underpants when everyone else will have shat themselves. The coming budget, the real possibility of a general election shortly...babies will have to hide their nappies from the parents when the country runs out of clean underpants..Whist!,,did someone just fart..is that fear I smell? :)
18%? That means that more than one person in six would still vote for the coalition of frauds, fools and gangsters that is Fianna Fail the Mass Immigration party. Who are these people? They're the ones who are bringing down the Irish IQ!
