Lawmakers in the U.S. have called on the National September 11 Health Program to consider adding cancer to the list of diseases that qualify for assistance.
U.S. Reps. Carolyn Maloney, Jerrold Nadler and Peter King filed a petition Wednesday to request a change within 60 days.

The representatives say that a recently published cancer research of cases among firefighters exposed to the dust from the World Trade Center attacks of 9/11, supports the inclusion of cancer to the program’s list of disease.
However the Lancet journal fails to find a significant increase in cancer among those exposed to the dust. The Associated Press reported that the administrator of the 9/11 Health Program has said a review of medical evidence failed to support adding cancer to the list of center-linked diseases.

There seems to be a 'serious' error in the article. The title states: Lawmakers Maloney, Christie and Nader want cancer added health program list for 9/11 However, the actual article relates: U.S. Reps. Carolyn Maloney, Jerrold Nadler and Peter King filed a petition Wednesday to request a change within 60 days. The names do not match up. Ralph Nadar (the consumer protectionist) or Ralph Nader (the routine candidate)? Or is it really a Nadler (who)? Christie? As in the dreadful anti-everything governor of NJ or is the name mixed up with Peter King? REALLY unclear and improper journalism. In other words, the web cannot equal the print for clarity and/or reliability. PLEASE, edit and check before posting!!!
