"DEY IS SAYIN' dat major Towngate fella is a "Pioneer" and has never touched a dhrop! An' dem dat tinks an' sez he dus,is de ones dat dusbe dhrunk dem-selfs! - an' dat's de trute!" ~ GEORGE,(-just love your Proud English names,Btw.) my friend;it's Total Abstinence all the way for me. Try it sometime!
Towngate, do you start drinking even before breakfast? Sounds like it.
THE GARDA SPOKESMAN SAID: BE THE HOKEY! d'Irish is now argue-in' 'bout one av me wurds! Dey is ahful stuputt and should shuttt up! ~ ~ ~ Lookit, George; well,of course you could never hear that expression in Ireland - but you could read it on IrishCentral! - Shur, Dey is only prats what say differ!
Towngate: Very poor effort at rendering an Irish dialect. For example, "Dey is" would never be heard in Ireland. It's Black English, and Caribbean.
A GARDA SPOKESMAN SAID: "We've nivir herd av de Krishna nor Budda families at all,at all. Dey is not from around these parts anyway! - they might be fram down Clare way....
Sounds like they're celebrating Asia Day, not Ireland's Day.
