@dublinjas The Fitzgeralds of Limerick are the real Irish of the clan, not the shaggin' bootleg crowd from Wexford. When Joe Kennedy was Ambassador to England 1936-9, he took the family over to Ireland a grand total of zero times. The only time they saw Ireland was when Grandpa Fitzgerald came over from Boston and took them to Limerick. As for "handsome", took a look at Bobby Kennedy's offspring, they look like gophers with those teeth. Caroline, not exactly a looker, has the Kennedy genes, her late brother John, who certainly was handsome, looked like Jackie's father. As for "dynamic", possibly; aquatic, definitely not Teddy anyway(you might want to confirm that with Mary Jo Kopechne, if you can reach her). "Powerful", well old man Joe was for a good part of his life, at least until his mob acquaintences whacked his two sons and it's been all downhill for them from that point on. But, don't listen to me, I am only a first generation Irish American, better you should listen to their coterie of Jewish mouthpieces over the years. Then again, compared to their mouthpieces, the Kennedys are handsome, dynamic and powerful as opposed to homely, miserable and wimpy. On second thought, you might be right in that respect.
Seamusmoore I think the Irish people associated Themselves with the Kennedy's because they thought them dynamic handsome and powerful, as well as being Irish Americans. But that shouldn't stop you taking your medication.
Another example of the great Irish mental disorder I call Cinneide-ophila (the irrational belief that the kennedys represent all things Irish). IC is the sanitarium for all those afflicted with this seemingly incurable disorder.
