John F Kennedy’s white 1960s Cadillac hearse to be auctioned
First Lady Jackie Kennedy also rode in the 1960's Cadillac hearse
The white Cadillac hearse which transported John F Kennedy’s bronze casket from Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas to Love Field, where Air Force One was waiting, is being auctioned.
First Lady Jackie Kennedy also rode in the 1960s Cadillac hearse.
The auction of the classic car will be held on January 21 next in Scottsdale, Arizona, auctioneers Barrett-Jackson said.
“The eyes of the world were on this car on that unforgettable day in American history,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “It’s one of the most significant and historical vehicles ever offered for sale.”

"It's an honor to be able to offer a vehicle of this stature," said Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson.
"While its duty was solemn, it was also extremely important and played a crucial role in transporting the president so he could be laid to rest."
The Cadillac was built by Miller-Meteor and sold to the O'Neal Funeral Home in Dallas, just weeks before the president’s assassination on November 22, 1963.
An employee, Arrdeen Vaughan, bought the car from the funeral home in the late 1960s and sold it four decades later.
