Congressional hopeful Joe Kennedy III received a big endorsement from another Kennedy this week - his grandmother, Ethel.
The Boston Herald reports that Ethel, the widow of former US Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, was on hand for the screening of a new documentary about her life entitled ‘Ethel.’ The documentary was created by Ethel’s youngest daughter Rory.
“I feel sorry for, so sorry for, anybody thinking of running against him,” said Ethel with a laugh at the screening of the movie at the Nantucket Film Festival.
“I think he’ll make a good congressman,” added Ethel. “And not only that, he’ll make a difference when he gets there. He’s spectacular.”
Of course, Ethel also added humorously that “He’s verrrrry handsome.”
The screening of ‘Ethel,’ which will air on HBO on October 18th, enjoyed a sold-out audience which included many of the Kennedy clan at the Dreamland theater.
Later at the festival, Rory Kennedy was again joined by family as she received the festival’s Special Achievement in Documentary Storytelling Award.
