There is no way that he is in Ireland. He "ratted out" the IRA on the Valhalla. If he is in Ireland and that's a BIG "IF", it's not a very smart move.

The press announces the FBI thinks he's in Ireland so if he was there, he isn't anymore. The Fed should keep their tips away from the media if they want to catch Whitey (which I'm not really sure they do).

I suspect the feds will "catch" Whitey when old age catches up with him and his body is returned to a funeral home in South Boston.
I must make a point I have made before. Whitey's brother, the Hon. William M. Bulger, is a friend of mine and I will never disown him.
