BippyBellito: If you are referring to John Kerry, he is not Irish. His paternal, name bearing roots are Jewish. He was raised Roman Catholic by his Catholic father and Episcopaliam mother; however his paternal grandparents were born "Fritz Kohn" and "Ida Löwe." Before emigrating to the US in 1915, they converted to Roman Catholicism. IN doing so they also changed the family name from "Krohn" to "Kerry." According to Michael Kranish of the Boston Globe, "According to family legend, Fritz and another family member opened an atlas at random and dropped a pencil on a map. It fell on County Kerry in Ireland, and thus a name was chosen." So you can remove the name Kerry form your list of robber barons embraicing their real Irish heritage.

Yet another lying headline, here. Jack says that
"Politics definitely interests me," but then he clarifies "I'm most interested in public service." Then he finishes the quote with "I'm not thinking about a political career right now."
Irish Central and O’Shea: He is interested in public service! That could mean anything from teaching public school, bringing clean water to villages in Africa, or being a journalist like his Uncle John (Jr.) et al. Also how does the statement "I'm not thinking about a political career right now" get translated to the headline "JFK’s only grandson set to pursue a political career after college," huh?
Either the editor does not read what the writer wrote, or this piece of yellow journalism can be sold to high school and college journalism departments to teach the meaning of yellow journalism to their students. It will make a few extra bucks for Irish Central.

Some people on here need to get over themselves and hope that your own kids arent measured by your bias and stupidity!! The kid is intersted in public service - don't tar him before he even begins on being like others before him. He's showing an interest (something young people should do) - let's see what he's made of when the time comes. Grow up and and stop type casting everyone by your own prejudices and biases - you just look pathetic!!! Yes there were others before him weren't as honorable as we might have hoped but how would you like your kids suffering for your own rubbish - i think not! Get over yourselves grow up and give these new kids on the block a chance to be who they might be, not what you base them on their relations! Pathetic !!!!

How many Frauds can one party have! The Kennedy's, The Kerry's, The Obamas, The Bidens.....ALL EMBRACING THEIR IRISH HERITAGE....when things get tough. While I am a proud Irish American, I am appalled by the actions of these people who claim to be my brethren. They are the robber barons of years gone by, at the expense of any who get in their way.

I was really excited when Caroline made the statement "Obama is a liar" then she was a turncoat and spoke glowingly about him at the GMC. There isn't any one of them that's worth print. I only hope Jack Schlossberg will turn out better then the rest. Let's give him time. But no respect for Caroline!!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again...please spare the USA any more Kennedy's in politics. They have proven thus far that 1) They can get away with murder and remain in public office, 2) They can cheat on their wives and be glorified for it 3) They can demean their ex-wives to their heart's content...even after the ex-wives are dead. If anyone thinks for even a moment that they are/were any more moral in their political lives than they are/were in their private lives, they are very much mistaken. I recently read that Ted Kennedy "tried to make up for his 'mistake' at Chappaquiddick" through his public service. No one can make up for the deliberate loss of a life, ever, in any way. BTW...his "public service" put quite a bit of money into his coffers. He wasn't serving for free. I wish all the Kennedys would just fade away into obscurity.

Gael, you're a real piece of work -- spitting on a 19 year old kid who's interested in public service because he doesn't rise to your ridiculous standards, yet...insofar as Kennedys are concerned. I certainly hope you never had children.

Ask a 19 year old and you get an immature answer lacking insight, the ability to parse the spin from reality and real world experience. Way to go Jack.
