A collection photographs by White House photographer Cecil Stoughton have fetched over $150,000 at a New York City auction. The collection includes a rare image of Marilyn Monroe, John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert at a Democratic Party fundraiser.
Stoughton’s collection of 12,000 photographs was expected to bring in over $200,000. The collection was put up to auction by Stoughton’s estate at Bonham’s auction house in New York.
The Monroe shot was sealed in an envelope marked “Sensitive Material — May 19, 1962." The image itself sold for just $9,000. This was above the presale estimate of $4,000 to $6,000.
Cecil Stoughton was officially the first White House photographer. His most famous shot show Lyndon B. Johnson being sworn in directly after Kennedy’s assassination.

First off, this photo is NOT from them at a 'fund-raiser'.!!!! it's after her appearance after she appeared at JFK's birthday party in May, 1962....How do I know this? because the gown she's wearing she wore only that one time, at that birthday party....and this photo is NOT rare; it's already been in many Monroe biographies, printed all over the place......

The greatest Priesident that the United States have had in the modern era and all media can come up with is pictures of his so called womenizing. It is so sad. I don't care one toote what his personal life was, all I know he got us through one of the most dangerous times(The Cuban Crisis) without a shot fired. If that had been squeakey clean Bush we all would not be on the planet today. Please give this a rest. He was a great President and a great man.

I have some polaroids of a JFK threesome with Angie Dickinson and Ann Magaret, anyone offer me $10k? How about a sextape of JFK and Judith Campbell for $25K as I would like a new car for the New Year.
