Despite the fact that I am medium-size, I identify with these big male spiders who move around a lot to try to find (female) mates. I have been doing that for more than 50 years now, and have scared many females during that time. My experiences taught me to turn in to myself. I learned to read (got a BA in English Lit.), speak conversational French, acquire some German, and am now working on Spanish prepping for October trip to Spain. While a female mate is still a dream, I am still climbing the walls despite now being all gray.
Caught one of those big beggers the other night, you can actually hear them run on the wooden floor. Could never kill a spider, so dropped him into one of the out-houses.
