Seems ironic that (neutral Eire of the day and now ROI) will benefit from a British ship torpedoed by a U Boat during WW2 with a loss of 94 lives.

Ireland is to be praised for respecting international salvage laws. Sadly some countries where Spanish gold wrecks have been located have been less respectful. This kind of operation is enormously expensive, not to mention dangerous and its participants deserve to reap its rewards as specified by maritime law.
