IrishCentral’s January Facebook competition winner announced
Lisa Stewart won a 8GB iPod Touch by entering our competition and “liking” our Facebook page
Lisa Stewart from Middleton, Wisconsin, is the winner of a 8GB iPod Touch from IrishCentral. After entering the competition on our site and “liking” our Facebook page Stewart was randomly selected from hundreds of other entrants.
IrishCentral got in touch with Stewart having told her the good news she said “I never win anything...I'm thrilled I won!”
Stewart is a native of Springfield, Montano and 12 years ago moved to Middleton. She explained how this changed her life. “I found myself living only two hours away from Chicago O'Hare. That opened up the possibility of international travel for me. You can get just about anywhere in Europe in one flight.” said Stewart.
Clearly bitten by the travelling bug Stewart says she’s visited Ireland at least ten times.
“It is my favorite place on Earth! Every time I fly there and my plane touches down, I feel like I'm home and I shed a few tears. I am always planning my next trip!
Stewart added “I do have Irish roots and I am currently in the process of weeding through the information.”
In fact the photography Stewart sent in is from a recent trip to Ireland. She said the picture is “of me sitting on the cliffs at Loop Head, County Clare…I had to include a picture of me in Ireland. And, of course, it had to have gorgeous scenery.”
Stewart has been a “fan” of IrishCentral for years. She said “ I was constantly looking for news about Ireland and when I found IrishCentral, it was the perfect mix of news, commentary and fun that I had been looking for.”
“I read IrishCentral everyday,” she continued. “When I get the daily email, I peruse the headlines, see what I want to read and click the link that takes me to the main page.”
Congratulations again Lisa Stewart and thanks for reading!
