Niall, well done and deserved. I loved Tip O'Neill. He was the classic Irish pol ... in the best sense of the term. Daniel Patrick Moynihan was anotgher great Irish American public servant, as was Ted Kennedy. Kennedy was born into wealth and power but spent a lifetime in the U.S. Senate working on behalf of the middle class and the working poor. I look at congress today ... where are the giants?

Well-deserved Mr O'Dowd. Tip's Fullerton cousins did business with us in the good old days in County Donegal, and I was introduced to Tip in Congress, and found out the Inishowen connection. We need a Speaker and POTUS as he and Reagan were to disagree but work together.
