Irish woman tried to make citizen’s arrest of Blair

Slipped through security to confront him

It has now been revealed that a Dublin protestor slipped past security and tried to make a citizen’s arrest of Tony Blair when he was at a book signing in Ireland at the weekend.

Activist Kate O'Sullivan confronted Blair by pretending to be a fan looking for her book to be signed.

"I went up to him and I said 'Mr Blair, I'm here to make a citizen's arrest for the war crimes that you've committed'," she told the Belfast Telegraph.

"Immediately five security people grabbed me, started dragging me off.

"I cried out there was half a million people dead in Iraq, how can you live with yourself, you've committed war crimes."

 O'Sullivan, 24, from Cork, said she lined up for for 90 minutes before trying to arrest  Blair.

"He was really blase about it, it was nothing but awkward for him," she continued.

"That's insane. If someone is crying out you murdered half a million people your reaction shouldn't be blase.
"He looked annoyed.

"He didn't say anything, He just signed the book, he looked down and then looked at security."

 O'Sullivan is a member of the Irish Palestine Solidarity Movement.

She said  Blair “ is a war criminal and he has pretty much gotten away with it," she added.

"He's making money going around the world. He's a war criminal."

O'Sullivan added: "We'll never forget what he has done. We'll follow him everywhere. If I ever get the chance to do this again I will."

Can't stand the man. Should never have followed George Bush into a totally unjust war. But let's not forget that it was the US President who was basically responsible for it. Blair was not to blame for the whole Ulster debacle so bringing that into the argument is stupid.

What is shameful to Ireland is that it has too many west brits in it,who think some war criminal brought peace to the north,while bombing serbia at the same time. But what else can you expect from these west brits who read all their ill informed news from papers like 'The Irish Sun' and watch BBC and Sky news,instead of RTE. West brits out!

Typical of so many west brits in ireland to suck up to Blair,the war criminal that he is,he should be indicted along with his partners in crime Bush and Cheney for war crimes. The whole war on terror is a fraud conceived by anglo-american conservatives to insure a western global constabulary on the middle east and steal all the oil and natural resources in the arabic region!. Oh by the way it was the CIA who got Saddam hussein in the power you ill informed neo-con right wing moron!.

Be liberal or conservative Catholic, supporting the muslims is insane. Don't you know they would just as soon whack your head off or blow you up (blowing themselves up in the process) as breath. All the while stoning thier women to death, 99 lashes for fun. Gang raping women whose brothers or fathers committed some petty crime. Killing every human on the planet that does not convert to islam, then killing other muslims who are not of the same sect. Find something better to do with your time.

My comment is that Kate O'Sullivan shoud be arrested, charged and convicted and most important, SPEND SOME TIME IN JAIL! She is a disgrace to Ireland and all it stands for.SHE IS NOTHING BUT A PUBLICITY SEEKING DOPE!!

Blair is such a fraud that I am told he told a hapless interviewer on Irish TV that one of the reasons he and the others attacked Iraq was because of the high infant mortality there. What he didn't tell the Irish dope, though the dope should have been smart enough to pick him up on it, is that the high infact mortality in Iraq was caused by ten years of sanctions, like the Israeli blockade of Gaza, in which medicines, vaccinations, food etc. was prevented from getting into Iraq! And guess who had conned the UN into imposing those sanctions! BLAIR! We still have 90 years left of the 21st century, but at this stage Blair is in pole position for Ghoul of the century!
