Ireland is a Roman Catholic police state. It became one in 1922 after the British left. For decades they ever ran a gulag of child prisons all across the island. They had them in every town and city all staffed by the pope's troops.

And why is this important. She wanted to commit suicide, she did, so why the news story. Just goes to prove you dont need to leave the country. I guess I just dont understand. Is Ireland a police state now? You need permission to leave?

Whats the missing back story here? Is there a massive chunk missing? Since when is it necessary to inform the Gardai when you leave the country anyway?

There's something in this story that I'm not getting. If you're planning on ending your life, you certainly wouldn't be telling the Guardai and what business do they have telling anybody they or can't leave the country?
