A very good read. I remember quite well as10 year old at the time where I was on 6 June 1944. I visited the beaches of Normandy last year for the 65th anniversary and tried to recall what it was really like that day. Today the English channel is blue - not red - and the Omaha Beach is pure white. Anyone who wants to pay respects to those defenders should have that experience..
