An Irish sex counselor states she has seen "catastrophic consequences" of Internet porn on Irish relationships between couples. She calls it the "elephant in the room" in many Irish relationships.

Writing in Journal.ie, Eithen Bacuzzi, a psychosexual councelor for Relationships Ireland, stated “Let me say here, that I believe and have witnessed some catastrophic consequences where internet porn becomes a feature in a couple’s relationship.

“In the extreme its constant solo use can go to the very soul of the relationship. The frequency of use is very often lied about and if discovered, becomes a very contentious issue. I call it “the elephant in the room."

She stated that “Partners of frequent users who have chosen porn over relationship sex often report body and self esteem issues."

She stated it can develop over time. Getting caught up in viewing internet porn doesn’t happen overnight.

She stated it often becomes an addiction.

“So when is it an addiction? When it replaces the relationship. When desire and arousal is present only while viewing these images. When it’s used as an escape mechanism, to avoid feeling lonely, hurt and stressed. When it interferes with one’s normal life and where there is disengagement from a close partner. Self-delusion can take over and secrets become the norm. Fear of discovery becomes a constant burden and one feels powerless and ashamed.”

What conscenting adults do is there business. However, Ireland has millions of cronological adults, but thee vast majority are socially and intellictually still juveniles.
Question for posters! When one posts a comment, and the message appears that "your comment has been sent" yet doesn't actually stick to the Irisih Central website, who exactly has it been sent to? (a) Irish Central? (b) Google Ireland (or other jurisdiction)? (c) Or some insufferable interposing presumptious authority which confers upon itself the right to interfere in the private affairs of individuals?
Lol as if this was the cause. I say its the effect. Another example here is Playstation Fifa. It accounts for some 1 in 10 break ups in one study in the UK. In some cases after the break up the women wont give the man back his playstation.
@eireog68: You might try putting a few periods in your grammatical argument. The objectification of sex is what is destroying society. The media has been infiltrated by "the devil". You do the math and I hope that you do not come up with 11:11.
well if thats not a load of elephant bull I do not know of any man that would choose an image over the real thing unless the real thing is no longer caring or does only what they have to out of spite and in that case then the image is better than an attude do the research and look at the numbers it is an image over cheating because of neglect on one side so come up with a solution do not blame the web or hookers for that matter no clients no job,no users no dealers. Let's be real
