What ever happened to freedom of expression. British historian David Irving was banned from speaking in Trinity when I was there, because he claimed the hollocaust either never happened, or wasn't as bad as claimed. Repeated more recently with Nick Griffin. Either we live in a democracy or we don't. The main protesters at the time - the Socialist Workers' Party (SWP) justified their censorious actions by saying they would not let someone speak who would deny them the right to speak if in power. A case of anticipatory proscription.

Hold yer horses, everybody! I left out one other possible explanation for the disappearance of my perfectly benign posts. Some of the conservative crybabies on this forum might have been leaning on the report abuse button. They like to do that, y'know, and overwhelmed website staffers don't bother to read the falsely reported posts. They just delete w/o so much as a blink of the eye. This favorite bully's game is called hide behind anonymity, stab their opponent from the back, and squawl like a crybaby if caught. That's in Karl Rove's playbook too. If any of you don't know that GOP director, he's the same ilk as Breitbart, Limbaugh, and company. I'd think their stench has infected the earth's atmosphere worldwide by now. As for my disappearing posts, their extraordinarily benign nature would suggest that I merely stood in the wrong place at the worst possible time, momentarily swept away perhaps by the website's poor programming. Or it could be the result of ongoing cyber attacks; my safety net has always successfully repelled those, but when this first started it alerted on a keystroke logger attempt. Not to worry; it made no headway. But I suspect IC's IT department has its work cut out. As yet I reject the notion that a mole in their office enjoys pushing the delete button on sweet little old ladies like myself. We're really so lovable when you get to know us.

I take it you are relatively new to this site, so welcome! ~ I have noted your exchanges with others on the Site and suggest that you concentrate on the Topics Posted rather than on the Commenters, as you are invited to do. Perhaps you should take a look at the Archive before jumping to delusions and joining the 'Usual Suspects' who would rather kill and destroy anything they can't be bothered to even try and understand, and therefore end up being filed in the 'FoolFolder'! The choice is yours! Finally, you complain about your posts not being acceptd by the Editors and Moderators. We are all being watched and judged all the time and the IC site has to protect itself from our worst efforts in order to remain attractive to advertisers and commercially viable. ~ I like this site for many reasons, but mainly that the founder-editor - our Taoiseach; "The Dauntless O'Dowd" is not afraid to take it on that famous dimpled chin of his every now and again!
