In addition to a "deeper connection", those who attend the gatherings should also be provided with a wider Irish connection - wide enough to include the whole Irish nation, not merely the part of the homeland over which Michael D. Higgins is president.

The Leprechaun is a personal friend of those in the artzy world - it makes him feel like a giant.

For the same reason people sleep in lines to get in stores early for Black Friday,I went to Ireland this year rather than pay excess for the same exact thing next year.

This sounds encouraging. I'd like more information about the "Irish heritage available." There are web sites with lists of programs. Why doesn't Irish Central provide some links and discussion of the heritage programs in various locations?

I agree with President Higgins. Everyone is allowed their opinion and his comments are what he believes. I don't, because I am going to try to find a way to return to Ireland because it's where my people are from, and it is the most wonderful place in all the world! That's my reason for returning!
