An Garda Siochana can claim they will capture those who shot off guns at the funeral but they aren't making any claims about capturing those who assassinated the "Real IRA" leader? Interesting!

I agree the police should always do everything in their power to deal with those engaged in terrorism or crime, thats their job. This being said, a gun salute doesn't, in my opinion, fit either of those descriptions of gardai duties.
