Irish incest couple plan to marry

I am very much opposed to incest but if homosexual couples are allowed to marry, maybe this couple that have already produced a child should also be allowed to tie the knot.

They can move to the redneck baptist states in the USA and fit right in with the Uncle-daddies

This happens when people go around mating like animals. In Biblical times, half brothers, half sisters and cousins married to keep the blood and religion pure, and fortunes intact. The major problem is that genes are intensified and birth defects are prevalent. When I was a child, I saw an entire family of mongoloid kids; my father said that the parents were first cousins.

My Mayo mother's family had instances of first cousins marrying first cousins as in the case of her mother and father. In an age when travel was measured in days not hours, your choice of partners was severely limited. To best the best of my knowledge, I don't have any six fingered relatives.

Canadianpat...you dont seem to understand that this is not a case of : cheating,one night stand, or even recreational sex. They want to get married and they already have a child...which this article does not say whether or not has any congenital problems...actually children of siblings do have a higher chance of birth defects...but it is not that much higher than for the regular population!

this is what happens when you bend the rules of GODS laws .there are great odds in the favor of this happening alot in later years to come because of the way we are covering up and hiding things these days.it was said that this man or boy tried to find out where his relations came from and was denied that imformation, i think the intrusion of goverment into the laws set up for family are the problem here and they are to blame.

Since they fell in love before they found out they were closely related,I wish them luck on their wedding day and maybe it might be wise to adopt rather then take the risk of having babies born with abnormalities.
