23% difference - disgraceful!
The last time I checked, the disparity between average male salary and average female salary for full-time workers in the USA was 23% (2009 figures)! Maybe it has improved lately, but obviously Ireland did not take its cue from the USA in this matter of male/female salaries. Ireland's doing better than the sexist USofA, no surprise.
What does gender equality do for the culture? America is going to lose it's culture to Muslims, and Hispanics because of gender equality. Give woman extra money, then the would rather go on a cruise and put off having a baby. American culture has failed to reproduce itself, and now has to rely on cultures that do not practice gender equality. These cultures scorn the failed American Culture. Ireland take note.
I blame the women who agree to work for less than men. They are the ones who are letting the side down!
very sickening and the effects will remain depressing and miserable- How can you call yourselves men and get away with this? I don't believe you are getting away with it..there will be a bigger consequence down the line
13% difference - disgraceful!!!
Nothing new then. Wombmen were deemed second class by the Roman church and this church has too much influence in various agencies in Eire still. Women do most of the housework, nurturing of children for FREE, because the patriarchal system still views them as possessions/slaves and Breeders according to the sacred texts.
