Irish executive in US cited as one of Top 10 Chief Marketing Officers in world
Offaly native Margaret Molloy native tops Twitter list
Social Media Magazine listed Offaly native Margaret Molloy in the top ten of its 100 Chief Marketing Officers on Twitter.
Molloy told World Irish, “I’m honoured to be featured in this list of Top 100 CMO’s on Twitter. I’m thrilled to be in such great company. I’m grateful to ally my twitter followers for their engagement.”
Social Media Magazine says they judge poll nominees based on the amount of information in their tweets and how often they interact with their twitter followers.
Molloy is from County Offaly and currently working as the Chief Marketing Officer at Velocidi Marketing, a digital marketing agency in New York City. She is active with both the Irish-American community and the digital marketing community.
Molloy’s intellect and success have been recognized by other organizations. Business and Finance magazine named her as one of the “Most Influential US-Irish American Leaders” and Irish America magazine named her as one of the “Top 100 Irish Americans in Business.”
Molloy has said about her own work, “Three characteristics of the Irish-- a genuine interest in others, passion and grit-- define my philosophy of life and work. Being Irish also means dedication to my family and the confidence to laugh at yourself.”
She has more than fifteen years experience in building sales enablement and executive engagement programs. Molloy worked as SVP of Marketing at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), which is the world’s leading expert network. She has also worked as VP of Marketing at Telecom Ireland US (eircom) and led marketing organizations at Siebel Systems.
She was a member of the Siebel Systems CEO’s Circle.Molloy earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Ulster and La Universidad de Valladoid.
