Irish downed 694 million pints of beer in 2011

I hate these articles associating the Irish with alcohol all the time.So we like beer.Ireland does not consume the most alcohol in the world.Not by a long shot.The French drink more liters of wine per capita than the Irish drink liters of beer.The USA is away down the list in drinking alcohol and why wouldn't they be.The United States has the highest levels of cocaine and marijuana use in the world.They are too stoned to drink beer.Eastern Europe drink vodka by pints.And those countries in the middle east who don't drink alcohol at all get their rocks off by going to a good public execution.It's all a matter of preference.

So how do you know its the Irish drinking this beer? The Poles like a pint too as do the Swedes and the Germans. Did you ask every drinker their nationality?
