Times really have changed. After we adopted our children from Russia and Ukraine, we soon after hired a searcher to find their families because we knew that nearly all adopted children eventually want to find their birth parents. We were successful in locating my daughter's birth mother, and my son's entire birth family. That is something they don't have to wonder about.
