Ireland hasn't any laws that prohibit prostitution, which is ironic considering what we now know about the Magdalene Laundries.

Let the girls do what they have
to do. As a man with 'certain kinks'
I recently enjoyed the pleasures
equally with a lovely young nursing
student with a similar penchant.
And, after all, don't many young female students look for an ambitious young medical or legal student while doing a mediocre course themselves? That's a worse kind of prostitution!

This is indeed sad! I realize that I recently wrote about the positive aspects of legalizing prostitution. However, in an illegal industry, these college girls would have no guarantees of safety, either from violent pimps, or aggressive customers. I must criticize the line above, "We would caution and warn any young woman who would consider going into the sex trade to support herself financially." Uh-duh, that's what they would be going into the trade for!! Had they other means, they wouldn't consider being hookers.

wtf. It’s about time to legalize the sex trade and collect the taxes that it would bring in. By the way politicians and many of the world business men have a mistress that they pay all expense for so is that not prostitution?

@Portia777: Just where did you take you biology classes if you had any at all? Sandra Fluke, it appears, is your patron saint. The government should pay for contraception services if there is a failure of intentions.
