Jakers!I hope it wasn't d'angels last fedder! Near missed often make you think strange thoughts. As chislers, when we returned the worse for wear from some scrape, the cry was "...yeh may as well have been kilt!" - The same thing, I think. - but maybe not, eh? I recall a time I was charging over the Dublin Mountains waving a special magic bayonet that had been captured by a nirish hero off a black and tan in the bore war down in flanders! ... anyway, it fell outta me hand and the handle stuck in the ground. I decided to trip and fall right onto it but when I got home to show them the two holes in me gansey where it had gone in and out the other side without leanin' a scratch on me, they said " I may as well have been kilt!" I wasn't. - I do believe everyone has a guardian of some kind. Slainte! Btw: there's a few up in the Pine Forest has more than a bit of a stone jammed in them to shut them up!
I don’t think this business of stones in the mouth has anything to do with shutting up the dead and so no one should be in fear of it. What people of today should be afraid of is the spirits still eternally alive... like the devil’s demons. If you are lucky, like me, to have an eternal angel watching over you instead of a demon polluting yr mind, you should also appreciate their messages. Just recently, I had a bit of a near accident... no, I wasn’t hurt but it was a close run thing, or, as we say in Dublin “I cuda been kilt!!” That evening, for the first time in my life, a single white feather floated into my lone presence... as if my angel was telling me he’s losing patience w/ me over the number of times he’s flapped his wings to keep me from being “deaded” so far.
I wonder where the experts got their opinions from? Is it not more logical that these dead people were being shut up for speaking a truth, which was not pro establishment?
They had their Sinead o"Connors even in those days, do you think it might work now?
We should do this to some of our politicians while they are still alive.
Georgy Boy they found your ancestors.
