Irish Unicef leader Melanie Verwoerd sacked by email

What cheapskates these Irish "celebrities" are. They wanted UNICEF to pay their trips to Africa. As to Verwoerd, I have never understood how she got that job. According to EU law, she could only get it if there were no suitable Irish or EU citizen available to do the job. Does anyone believe that in the whole of Ireland and the entire EU (400 million people) there was no one able to head Irish Unicef? And how about her goodbye check? More than $250K! Crazy.

What does acting have to do with her being sacked for nothing more than a perceived notion of guilt by association. when GRyan was alive he was everyone's favourite son; having died under terrible circumstances and being made public as a coke head he now has fallen from favour. We're a very hypocritical lot methinks!
