This is really good news, if the likes of Martin had won , it would have put a different complexion on the spring election, but as it stands, the architect of Ireland's current malaise will have to face the electorate himself and explain just how we got here.

Sad to hear about Martin. He has integrity. Of course many of the others wouldn't have the backbone to do oust him particularly as Cowen is the main reason many of them enjoy the perks and positions that they currently have anyway.
