Celebrating with a drink carrying that name is offensive and hurtful. It should not be encouraged. I have approached 3 bars and had them drop the "Irish" from their Menu/Advertising of same. "Iraqi Car Bombs" or "Iraqi I.E.D.'S" would similarily be seen as offensive over here.
Actually, I'd prefer "sex on the beach" to bombing an Irish car! Then again maybe the term "Irish Car Bomb" came from the fact that a college lad coaxed his girl friend into the back seat of his car, but "bombed out" when it came down to performing the "act".
It's things like this that give Irish Americans a bad name.
I was unaware that you also used Baileys in an “Irish car bomb”? I thought that you just dropped a measure of Jameson into a pint of Guinness? I don’t mind really, one way or the other. If I’m out and about having a wonderful time of it, and I’m asked, “What do you drink”? I usually respond that “I’ll drink anything fermented and taxed”!
are you kidding me it takes the brits to start trouble over a drink that has been selling for years here with no bother.maybe they are trying to distract our attention from the fact that their mighty empire is crumbling.worry about your own troubles there and stop making trouble elsewhere.guess you havent learned you lesson yet
