"I get hundreds of emails from young queer kids saying, 'Oh, your music saved my life' or asking, 'I want to come out to my mom as trans but I don't know how to do it, how did you do it?' And that's what keeps me going."

Let me pls add one thing about this story - some 5 years ago I knew a man who trans'd to a woman. He was married and was the only Air force pilot qualified to fly the many (not obvious) variants of the B52 Nuclear capable bomber He still lived with his former wife, told me he slept in the same bed etc. their 2 children were all grown up and happy that the dichotomy that hung over his head like a guilotine had finally ended. Fran O'G - I just recently asked adn found out she moved from MD to AZ because her wife of many years - the parents were very old and needed a lot of family help Still run into her on facebook once in a while - this is true love and I'm sure Jesus would smile upon it.
Mcbride - you ahould go lock yourself in a closet. Such hate filled and non - understanding comments...... Get over it . Some people have the body of one sex and the mind of another. Not a large percentage, best estimate from a doc who transitions people is about 0.3% WE owe these people love and understanding like in the original article. Think of how they must have suffered for so many years.
Sounds like an episode of the creep show! Please go lock yourself in a closet and stay there!
this family consists of a mother, father and child. they just haven't arranged themselves to suit your narrow view Gearoid4. the universe is vast and unknowable, there will be variation, it's sad you think it should arrange itself to be comprehensible to your admittedly narrow viewpoint.
This story is typical of the IC propaganda against the natural order of the family which consists of a mother, father and their children.
Live and let live.
I'm so confused! And I thought Saoirse was a girl's name ...
Not exactly note worthy in this day and age.
