The world will end sometime between 5 and 6pm today in a massive outbreak of tidal waves and earthquakes, according to one Irish American.

Robert Fitzpatrick has been walking the streets of New York in recent weeks with his premonitions of Armageddon. However, it seems not all New Yorkers are convinced.

"It's a downer," joked Sharon Gordin, from Forest Hills, Queens told the New York Post.

"I still haven't been to [Lower East Side restaurant] Beauty & Essex," she reflected. "And don't I have at least a year to get married or do any of the other things I want to do?"

Fitzpatrick has spent $140,000 buying ads to warn the public about Doomsday and the so-called “Rapture,” which will cause the souls of those saved to be sucked into heaven, while the rest of humanity must face their judgment day on earth.

"My advice is to cry out for mercy now!" he told The Post on Thursday.

"Read the Bible, and put yourself in the environment where you will be saved."

"We've got the proof. There are irrefutable truths, too many to deny," he said.

Californian man Harold Camping (89) originally announced his predictions about the May 21 Doomsday.

Christ rebuked the Pharisees on several occasions for their preference of TRADITION over the SCRIPTURES. ( Matt. 15:3,6; Mark 7:8,9; 13) No more is this in view than in the cult of Roman Catholicism. Christ also rebuked the religious leaders of his day, the Pharisees and the Scribes, for their ignorance of the SCRIPTURES.(Matt. 22:29 From the apostolic era on, many have wrested (twisted) the Scriptures in order to accommodate their peculiar doctrines with a view to gaining a following of faithful adherents who are just to lazy to read God's Word for themselves. Those who unquestionably place their trust in a man are deemed followers of a cult. The pope is the leader of the largest cult, namely Roman Catholicism, which boasts a billion followers. It is a common snare among men to elevate a man to a position of prominence, but for Christians, Christ alone is to have the pre-eminence. (Col. 1:18) Christ has warned us that many false prophets would arise. (Mark 13:22) Christ said HIS sheep hear HIS voice and follow him. (John 10:27-28) He went on to say, those who keep HIS Word and obey HIS commandments are in truth HIS disciples. (John 8:31; John 14:15; John 15:10) In his earthly ministry, Christ often read and quoted from the Old Testament Scriptures. The Apostle Paul in the book of Acts commends the Jews in Berea for searching the Scriptures (Acts 17:11), and in Paul's second letter to Timothy, we read: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (II Tim. 3:16-17) Both the followers of H.Camping and the pope would do well to take heed to this exhortation in God's Word: “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
Protestantism doesnt actually say you interpret scriptureit just saus you should beable to read scripture in your own language and that through prayer and the holy ghost scripture will be made plain. This guys problem is applying maths to scripture not interpreting actual scripture. 1 Thessalonians 4:v16-17 `For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.` ..but it goes on to tell us tobe ever watchful as we do not know when it will happen: `For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.` or from the book of Matthew chp 24: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."
I guess this is why the Catholic Church has frowned on the Protestant tradition of interpreting Sacred Scriptures for yourself. It leads to many gullible and simple-minded people being led astray by false prophets who mistakenly believe they have "the Truth".
Not a regular horses ass, but one of exceptional stupidity, IMO. Funny, all the on line servers for Family Radio are of-line. The local radio station that carries their BS is on with a program about health and living a long life. But then, what do I know, except that I'm still here, and the world is just as f-ed up as ever, but not destroyed.
sounds like the bottom is about to fall out of his investments
