Unlike opinionators, lawyers have legal standards/requirements to present evidence based on facts and the truth. Impeaching the credibility of lying witnesses is a powerful means of helping juries determine which side's version of the truth is more compelling.

Your headline is misleading, Informers, odious as they may be in some cases, do no bring about distrust of the justice system . I suspect Mr McMahon was referring to fabricators
