The 'Contraband' actor - who already has one Wahlburger restaurant in Hingham, Massachusetts - admits business is going so well he is now expanding it to the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
He said: "We do higher-end burgers. Yesterday, we sold 1,300. It's run by my brother, Paul, who is a five-star chef. We're opening a bunch of them in Britain and Ireland this year."
The 40-year-old hunk admits many people did not think it would work when he first conceived the idea but is finding it has done surprisingly well, currently making $17,000 a day.
He added to the Metro newspaper: "When I first mentioned the idea of Wahlburgers, people were like, 'Oh my God, that's a stupid idea.'
"What they don't realise is how talented my brother is. I would never risk putting my name out there in a way that would end up being bad. You can get people to show up because of the name but they are going to come back because they like the food.
"A successful burger place takes maybe $2,400 a day. A really successful one does $6,000. We're making $17,000 a day. There are lines queuing around the corner."

Beware of the "Pink Slime". We're having a pink slime "scare" in the States. It's a weird meat kind of thing(when shippped in boxes it looks like pink sponges), they add to the meat.

MCCOLGAN1492 If you have a big enough "grease gun" you can get anything you want.We just had an elected commissioner convicted of just such shenanigans,he would be out eating, run up a huge food & booze tab ,call someone to come and pay for it! And they did!Brass Balls! In the Middle East, nothing moves without bakshis sp.? (bribe money)

Tooreenagrena, what county do you hail from? Mom was a Donnelly. What is your pedigree?
PhlutiePhan | Mar 24, 2012, 09:53 AM EDT
I actually do not know much about Mark but his brother Donnie is "tearing it up" on BlueBloods.

Seems to me if you have the appropriate "grease gun" you can get things done in Ireland quite nicely. Your man Ahearn being a case in point, also beleave the Emerald Isle placed number 14 on the most corrupt Country for Business according to an independant audit conducted by a Group of International Businessmen and women. But hey, I'm in the Construction Business in NYC and everybody from the Sanitation Inspector to the local Ward leader has his hand out for a "donation" or "training fund" investment. Point being, you got the grease gun, things get done!
