Just for the record, I think all primary schools should be Gael scoileanna. This would help with cultural awareness in the same way that all primary schools in Wales are Welsh speaking.

Being Anti-immigrant is not the same as being pro-Irish. You did make some good points then. I cant remember what they were now but yeah they were actually well thought out but now youre just insulting and have no facts or figures for me. Id like if we left the EU and had control of our finances and borders but we dont and thats how its gonna be for some time but as someone who works in Maternity services and does a bit of work with the irish language and culture, it will only die out if Irish people continue as they are. You only have to look at a massive percentage of irish people who dont speak the Irish language and who are Americanised or Anglocised. THESE arent doing anything remotely culturally Irish. You need irish people to take an interest in Irish culture for the culture to thrive. Most of my Irish friends think Im mental when I tell them Im off to Tory or InisBofin or helping a mate out during filming of An G Team in Connemara or doing an irish language course. These are the people who will cause the death of irish culture no one else! There has been a massive resurgance of the language over the past few years. Some of this is due to irish people going 'Hmm my new mates have their own language and culture so maybe I should learn about mine' and migrants sending their kids to the local Gaelscoil.

Ah here Awoken! You dont like migrants in Ireland and you dont like Irish who have friends who arent irish. Why would I leave? Im from here and my family, friends and my job is here! People only tend to emigrate when they have to which is why people from rich countries dont tend to move abroad but those from poorer countries too! Im their driver when they fancy a trip to the Aran Islands or Inisbofin and they use the very basics when we are in the gaeltacht which is more than can be said for my irish mates! I suggerst you read some of the posts from Kinvara on the story of the latest citizenships. He has some very good information which may be of benefit to you. You just seem to see non 'Irish' faces and assume theyre here to ruin the place!

ha! You have just answered my question! Its not illegal as these people are here legally! Mass immigration? 10% of our population is foreign born, thats is not nearly mass immigration. Migrants have brought to Ireland what irish migrants brought to the rest of the world! There is NO difference! I speak my language when I visit the gaeltacht which is at least once a month, I volunteer and partake in cultural events such as Seachtain na gaeilge and cultural events in my nephews school.I have brought my non-Irish friends to the odd ceili in Aras Cronain and CNG. I have introduced them to the irish language, history and culture. A couple of them have even got basic irish vocab books from Gael Linn. They respect it and have a great admiration for it. Again, what have you done?
