I'm with Kinvara7, its a great day for Moneygall to have an American President land in the village. I live in Washington DC but I'm from Roscrea and one of my best friends in Moneygall got a ticket (and she is from the village, not a blow in!!) They're so excited and right now anything that brings out the Irish charm, friendliness, welcome and cead mile failte to tourists is good for the country. Instead of all you wolleyheads wallowing in misery, Ireland is open for business and negativity is behind us so keep your negativity to yourselves, the Irish are going to be optimistic about the future regardless of how bad the economy is!
@Bomar22, AngelPrecious, hancock et all You and those like you are ignorant uneducated racist. To my friends and relations in Europe, Excuse the ignorance displayed by some of our countrymen / they are obviously not they majority.
To Mcnamara 31, If you are not watching Fox News you are not informed. MSNBC or CNN you are getting the same propaganda that Aljazeera spews out. I love to visit Ireland but I don't want your political system and that's where Barry wants to take us.
Shouldn't that be the first 'bi-racial' President?
Francis, I agree......PLEASE KEEP HIM!!!
Well said Kinvara7. Thejoy of the Moneygall folk is great to see as they anticipate this historic visit, I love the little children imitating American secret agents, and Obama brown bread is also funny lol
To say that the President is far left is laughable.
He is a European style socialist. Thats why European socialists love him.
Irishjule "Irish people for being duped"…. Facts are, the Irish are far too sharp and well informed to be "duped" especially by the propaganda emmitted by Fox News and their followers.
If you want to know the REAL Obama, read his autobiography, Dreams From My Father. It's an eye-opener. I feel sorry for the beloved Irish people for being duped by the likes of him and his wife. "Yes we can" means, Yes, we can turn America into a socialist country, take from people who have worked hard and gotten ahead and give it to the lazy people who want a handout.
Moneygall is a buzz with people even if he doesn't turn up there is going to be one hell of a party. I am going to be there
Well said Kinvara7! That's exactly how I feel. Thank u:)
Oldbiker1: Nice post.I hope his speaking skills are not thrown off balance when he realises that our Autoques here can only project text in the Gaelic Language!
Great post kinvara7.
My wife is from Dublin and we've been married for 46 years, so I'm somewhat familiar with the Irish way (in general). You guys are going to be impressed with his speaking skills... he's definitely impressive. But, politically, he's on the far left and wants to take the USA into socialism. Most people here don't want to go in that direction. Due to his track record, he probably won't get re-elected next year. But, he definitely has the gift of the gab...!
