That's right, aj...Optimism cannot be supplied by the government -- but it can certainly be dampened by it. And it has been.

Optimism is a choice, it is not supplied by the government or corporations it is found within the fiber of those who choose have it.

Key distinction, here: Ireland could use some American OPTIMISM -- which is NOT to be confused with the current U.S. government or its policies (who are the biggest avowed ENEMIES of that optimism we've had, to date). It's because of them that we don't have much optimism to spare, currently (kudo's to gregoryny).
