I think it's awesome...until a few years ago, I had no idea the UK had regular snow.

Water pipes frozen have no water to make hot toddy with Jameson but I am sitting in front of my lovely turf fire, small dog in front of fire as well. Did John Gormely of the Green Party warn us about Global Warming if we didn't all use a certain light bulb. What happened? I can't remember cold like this since I was a child. It's absolutely freezing outside.

I'm hoping you're all staying warm, and thinking about keeping your animals comfortably protected as well. Living in the eastern High Sierras of California, I am well acquainted with the cold....we were minus 3 (Fahrenheit) a few days ago, with snow, and we haven't gotten above daytime temps of 32*F for the past week. Please look after the animals that aren't acclimated to the extremes you're now experiencing.

Sadly, global warming affects the Gulf Stream, which will impact Ireland's usually moderate weather. The Siberian blasts are something different all together. A Ruskie plot?
