As a Roman Catholic I liked that Katie gave the glory to God. Jesus said not to be ashamed of Him or His words. God bless you Katie.

WoundedKnee, God is IN the Olympics. He's on the Jamaican team.

First Irish gold medal nearly in the bag. @WoundedKnee: God's too busy encouraging the people of world to kill each other in his name... or so it would seem when watching the news!

This young lady is an evangelical Protestant. I wonder is she the first evangelical to reach prominence in Ireland? I wish her every success, though as a practicing Catholic I confess to feeling uncomfortable when an athlete publicly thanks God for his/her victory. We've seen enough of that in the NFL, NBA etc. Surely God is in the neutral corner, in fact I very much doubt that S/He's following the Olympics.
