Hooker stole passport from suspected serial killer Larry Murphy
Rapist now waits for new passport after returning to Ireland
Larry Murphy was forced to flee back to his native Ireland after a prostitute stole his passport in Spain.
The convicted rapist is under 24-hour police surveillance as he waits for his new travel documents to be issued.
The suspected serial killer was forced to contact Spanish authorities and inform them a prostitute had fled with his belongings. Spanish police were unaware of the Irish man’s rape convictions and only after a background check did they discover he was a convicted sex offender.
The Herald reports that the Wicklow man had been working in the Costa Brava of Girona in Northeastern Spain.

Annie McCarrick: American missing in Ireland since '93
The 46-year-old was released from jail eight months ago after serving 10-years of an 15-year sentence for the brutal rape and abduction of a woman in the Wicklow mountains.
Murphy was linked with the disappearance of several women in the Leinster area during the 1990s, including American Annie McCarrick who disappeared almost 18 years ago.
A large group of 34 students from a Kilkenny secondary school were horrified when they discovered they were on the same Dublin bound flight as the rapist last week.
"A parent of any child wouldn't be too happy if they knew he was on that flight. If you take a flight, you just don't know who's going to be on it,” a worried father told the Herald.
"Kids should be alerted or parents should be made aware of who's going to be on their flight. Rearing a daughter of 16 or 17 years of age, and with six or seven women still missing, and he's around, it's not good."
Irish police believe Murphy will return to Spain once his new passport is processed.
