A Quinnipiac University national poll found that former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is still the early favorite to win the 2016 presidential election.
The poll, which asked participants who they would vote for if the election were held today, had Clinton the easy victor over some of the Republican’s top bets, including NJ Governor Chris Christie, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida and U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin.
Clinton beat Christie 45 - 37 percent; bested Rubio 50 - 34 percent and topped Ryan 50 - 38 percent.
While Chris Christie bested Joe Biden at 43 percent to 40 percent and topped NY Governor Andrew Cuomo 45 percent to 28 percent, the poll reveals that Democrats still have the stronghold as far as approval ratings are concerned.
Voters disapprove of the job Democrats are doing in Congress at 60 - 32 percent, which is less than the 71 - 20 percent disapproval for Republicans in Congress.
Peter A. Brown, the assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said "Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would start a 2016 presidential campaign with enormous advantages.”
"She obviously is by far the best known,” added Brown, “and her more than 20 years in the public spotlight allows her to create a very favorable impression on the American people. But it is worth noting that she had very good poll numbers in 2006 looking toward the 2008 election, before she faced a relative unknown in Barack Obama."
However, Brown did also point out that “it is worth noting that she [Clinton] had very good poll numbers in 2006 looking toward the 2008 election, before she faced a relative unknown in Barack Obama.”
The Quinnipiac University poll was conducted Feb. 27 through March 4 and included 1,944 registered voters.

Hillary is just the low form of life known as the professional politician. The professional politician is concerned with two things and two things only 1)getting elected 2) getting reelected. You are only a vote or cash, nothing more nothing less.
Power to the People not the politicians

She should look for a career on Wall Street. Didn't she make millions on a stock trade years ago?

GOP supporters are leaving Fox in droves. They now realise they have been conned by Their chief liar Ailes and his motley crew of duds who front the camera. You teaparty types need to broaden your horizons(If that's possible).

What have we told you kiddies about watching too much Fox News? You know that it will shrivel your brain into a little pea and warp your view of your surroundings so that you might even think that someone as idiotic as Mitt Romney might make a good president or might actually be elected by American voters. Some of you seem to be ignoring our advise AGAIN! When Hillary is the first American to be addressed as MADAME President, don't say you were not warned. Remember back in October how FOX told you the polls were all being manipulated and how the numbers for the jobs report were being fudged? Remember how they told you that the fix was in in Florida and in Ohio? Fox got you once and has been laughing all the way to the bank ever since, will you let them fool you twice? Shame on you! Join the "reality" crowd over at the regular media outlets and let some FACTS into your world. You will be surprised at how LIBERATING it will feel.

At her age, I don't believe HRC is climbing any 'poles' at this point, but professional pols do list her ahead of possible GOP candidates. They should now include Rand Paul in their surveys since he is taking stands that the old guard in the GOP are very upset about.

I'm surprised FastEddy spoke that harshly about Chris Christie this early into the 2016 campaign.

With the Clinton and Bush families as contenders for our next White House inmate one wonders if it is due to regret at getting rid of the monarchy and aristocracy.
Surely out of 300 million citizens we can find another way other than blood lines and succession to fill the office.
Or are the people who actually run the country more comfortable picking from clans filled with known sycophants than letting others who might actually represent voters into the race?
