I'm surprised Ambassador Rooney is the first U.S. ambassador to tour all the counties and islands. It should be the goal of every ambassador to Ireland to give it the tour- and vice versa too.
'The first to visit all the counties and various islands"? Rather disgusting that those who came before him did not accomplish this modest task. Hell I have done it on three brief trips to Ireland. I guess life around Dublin is considered more fitting for the ambassadors from the States.
