Read my post NE Ireland you will never read me using the britsh title for its Irish colony.I left out very important word it was suppose to read "you believe that it's a British territory sorry for the omission.
so u admit that it is british territory after all
Why would the irish government fund investigations in N.E. Ireland afterall believe that it's british territory.
why don't the Irish govt stump up the cash for the investigation for the enquiry, i'm sure that like LCJ Barron they can fit the conspiracy theory in somewhere. For my 2p worth I would also like the dublin govt to run an enquiry into the deaths the follwing RCs - Bernard Norney, the May 28, 1972 Short Strand bombing, Michael Cassidy
Sorry Sean, but you seem to be bouncing all over the place on this...first you said the Brits would not spend one penny to get justice for an Irish person, then when the cost was pointed out, 'serves them right'...now you're saying how the money could be better spent...lots of money was spent clearing up and rebuilding after republican bombings...more wasted cash, not to mention wasted lives.
You miss the point Dan if the British handled bloody Sunday correctly from the beginning they would not have had to spend all that cash. The money could have been used to enhance living standards, Schools, hospitals etc.I'm exacerbated having to repeat myself in simplistic terms so you get the point.
Seano - you're anwering questions that were never asked!!! Where did anybody mention that the money should be spent to 'enhance living standards'???? This was supposedly a quest for justice...yes, the usual one-sided, tribal, anti-democratic justice of SFIRA, but justice, none the less. Please read your first post again, cobber, and then try to pick up the thread of the debate...that's how it's supposed to work...
No Dan the money was not spent to enhance the living standards of the Irish it was to try and whitewash state murder..I see mr.99.9% is putting his two bobs worth in the mix.If the brits wish to investigate your aforesaid "outrages" they can do so any time they like. You should refer your outrage to your political masters I cannot help you falls my man.
Bloody Friday, Teebane, Shankill, Dropping Well, Lynch govt sponsorship of PIRA - where seano is your call for enquiries into these terrorist outrages?
Seano - so do you agree that your first post was somewhat 'wide of the mark'?
The cost is ridiculous serves the British right. How much recompense did the victims receive. If the British had not lied and try to cover-up and charged the brave tommies with murder maybe they could have saved millions. The british governments answer was to usher the criminals through the backdoor of the palace and receive medals. The reason they were secretly given medals was medals are only given during or after a war and they did not recognise that a state of war existed. It is not the first time british arrogance cost them money or lives by their self denial.
Seano - Bloody Sunday enquiry - latest estimated cost £400 MILLION. Thats's an awful lot of pennies, cobber...and as you state elsewhere...A peace deal has been reached and it's time to move on...but of course this was in relation to republican killings...seems you pick and choose when to move on, and when to stick in a rut!!!
Great British justice at work ,no brits running the gauntlet here for the war crimes committed gainst the Irish people. The silence of the west brit /free state indo is deafening....not surprisingly when it comes to the murders of Irish people by their surrogates.
If your Irish your not worth a penny's worth of justice.
