@seamusmoore: Ireland does not have a country that enforces law. Irish Politicians introduced illegally the use of opinions into Irish law in 1996. Using opinions in law is direct violations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and treason. Successive so called Irish Governments have been stealing from Social Welfare Recipients since 1998 and nobody gets protection by law. The only reason to use opinions in law is to commit crimes. The so called judicial system in Ireland have been committing crimes.

So the guy who sued (Foy)gets his bonus, but those only who only threatened to sue get stiffed. Anyone care to guess what the next step is? Those who are about to get stiffed will band together, hire a barrister (like Foy did) and sue AIB, AND WIN (just like Foy); then they will get paid and the govt will have incurred unnecessary legal fees to score political points. I wish someone would inform James Reilly of the "Fine Girleens" that these AIB employment contracts were in force when the govt stepped in and took its stake in AIB in September, 2008. If these bonuses were for 2009 compensation, his point would be well taken. If you want to see what it is like to live in a country that does not adhere to the rule of law, move to Africa or Central America (Venezuela). Fortunately, Ireland still has a legal system that enforces the rule of law, not mob rule by public opinion; therefore, it still is one step above a banana republic.
