Ignorance is no defence in law...If in doubt don't do it..It is incumbent on the 'adult' to make sure that the sexual partner is not 'jail bait'...Discrepancy in age is an aggravating feature and one taken into consideration in sentencing...seems like a very lenient sentence for rape of a minor...
