Former astronaut Mark Kelly denies run for Rep Gabrielle Giffords’ seat - VIDEO

I am pleased Congresswoman Giffords was given the time to make a decision on her own. I suspect her husband, astronaut and retired Navy Capt. Mark Kelly will stay out of politics for now to help his wife in her recovery. Had he stayed in the Navy, I suspect he stood a good chance of reaching flag rank. Instead, he resigned his commission after what would have been his last space shuttle flight in any event to be there for his wife.
